2020 Cadillac XT6 Review

One of two new luxury SUV models Cadillac is introducing this year, the 2020 Cadillac XT6 is a dynamic blend of power, handling, and comfort. Starting at $52,695 for the base model, it is a relatively inexpensive entry within the luxury SUV class. This vehicle has some exciting elements to it that make it one of the more intriguing cars in its class. That said, the 2020 XT6 is not a perfect SUV, and some aspects to it can be frustrating for folks who expect certain features from their luxury SUV. First thing’s first, the powertrain specs on this automobile are pretty impressive for a vehicle of its size. It boasts a 3.6-liter V6 engine – the same one found in the XT5 – and has a 310 horsepower output with a towing capacity of up to 4,000 pounds.

my22-xt6-gallery-interior-seating copy

That 4,000 pounds of towing capacity put it towards the lower end of the competition within the luxury SUV class. If you are looking to haul large trailers and make this vehicle your workhorse, you may want to consider the Escalade, but if towing capacity is not your priority, then the 4,000-pound capacity will be more than enough. There are other reasons people love to drive sports utility vehicles, and that’s space. The XT6 has plenty of room and is comparable with the Audi Q7, the leader in the clubhouse in many people’s eyes when it comes to cargo space and epitomizing what a luxury SUV is. The 2020 XT6 has three rows of seating, the third row has 12.6 cubic feet of cargo space, the second row has 43.1 cubic feet, and when both rows are folded down, you get a whopping 78.7 cubic feet of space. It is close as to class-leading cargo space that one can get in a luxury SUV. That makes it even more impressive since this automobile can be described as being more on the compact end of the spectrum than the boxy end.

The cabin features an eight-inch touchscreen with a secondary rotary-knob controller along with two USB ports for each row of seats. The Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration along with a Wi-Fi hotspot and 4G LTE connectivity give the interior the type of technological punch you come to expect in a modern luxury SUV. That said, beyond being on par with what you may expect from the interior of a luxury SUV, the quality is subpar compared to the competition. That is one of the most glaring issues with the XT6, it has a cabin that is not at all comparable to the premium end of the competition, and in many ways, it is not equivalent to even middle-tier entries in the class. Like with towing capacity, this is either a make-or-break issue for you or it is not, but if you desire a plush, top-end interior than this may not be the vehicle for you. That happens to be a bit of a theme in general with the XT6 as a whole.

Similar GMC or Chevrolet models to the XT6 tend to be more on the luxury end than this SUV, which is quite surprising given that General Motors has always designated Cadillac as its luxury brand. The 2020 XT6 is more luxurious than your average SUV, but compared to other SUVs that are described as “luxury SUVs,” it is somewhat middle of the pack. Again, that flaw is minor and can either make or break this vehicle for you or not. Beyond the sub-standard luxury features, towing capacity, and interior, this is a dynamic automobile that handles well and has incredible power. The fact that it houses a V6 engine rather than a V8 means that it is very fuel efficient compared to the competition and that is a significant plus for the 2020 XT6. The 2020 Cadillac XT6 is worthy of test-driving when it arrives at dealerships nationwide in the Spring of 2019.

2019 Lexus UX

Lexus has debuted a new crossover luxury SUV this year: the UX model, available in both traditional gas and hybrid forms. Though it may seem a little clunky on the outside, it’s a far more affordable luxury vehicle than others in its class. Perhaps to compensate for its boxy body, it comes in several unique color choices to inspire youthful energy and showcase its sharp edges. Both the gas and hybrid models come in three trims: base, Luxury, and F Sport. All levels offer more tech options than may be expected.

Lexus-UX-interior-1024x576

Each trim comes equipped with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine and FWD for gas or AWD for the hybrid. The 250h series features a hybrid engine, providing a 41 mpg city-highway average. While speed may not be this model’s forte, as it only reaches 169 horsepower, it does offer a range in driving experiences. The F Sport allows for greater agility with steering wheel paddle shifters, a sport-tuned suspension, an augmented engine sound generator, and sport front seats. The Luxury trim level, on the other hand, provides those features expected of the Lexus brand: a hands-free tailgate, sound-damping windows, a navigation display, and a 10.3-inch central display. Additional optional features range from heated and ventilated front seats, automatic windshield wipers, and a sunroof.

Lexus-UX-exterior-1-1024x576

Standard features are also plentiful: several drive models, simulated leather upholstery, a 60/40-split folding rear seat, and LED headlights. Infotainment features may exceed some expectations, as they include a 7-inch touchscreen display, onboard Wi-Fi, several USB ports, smartphone integration, and satellite radio. All trims also feature the Lexus Safety System 2.0 that includes everything from automatic emergency braking to lane keeping assist to forward collision warning. The Lexus Enform Safety Connect emergency service comes standard as well so that anxious drivers can relax and enjoy their commute.

What is important to note, however, is that as a crossover, this vehicle already challenges notions of spaciousness. While it is not comparable to an elevated hatchback, it is also not more substantial than it looks. Drivers will find plenty of legroom, but it gets tighter in the backseat. Also, the trunk space only measures to 22 cubic feet (17 in the hybrid). So, if you’re in the market for a more affordable Lexus and don’t plan on lugging heaps of cargo all over town, this is probably just the right model for your lifestyle.

All trims come equipped with all-wheel drive and Subaru’s specialized X-mode to enhance traction on low friction surfaces, while also reducing individual wheel spin. To give this model a more athletic look, shoppers can opt for 18-inch and 20-inch wheels, chrome door handles, and a power tilt/sliding panoramic glass moonroof. Each trim comes standard with raised
roof rails, a rear window wiper, and EyeSight Driver Assist Technology for safe driving around every corner.

Interior features vary to ensure that families can emphasize the elements that truly matter to them. For example, the All-Weather Package includes heated front and second-row seats. Ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter handle, and second-row captain’s chairs are just a few of the other cabin features shoppers can pick. Maximum cargo volume from the first row is 86 cubic feet, and behind the second-row cargo space is 47 cubic feet. That’s plenty of room for anything from camping gear to groceries to everyone’s favorite stuffed animals.

Used Audi Q7 Is Quite Reliable

A broad range of convenience features come included on the Premium, Limited, and Touring trims. A power rear gate with height memory function, an auto-dimming rearview compass mirror, and
second-row climate control are just a few of the more notable ones. Transmission paddle shifters, 19 cup and bottle holders, and a cargo-area underfloor storage tray come standard on the base trim as well.Infotainment ranges, but a few of the more exciting features include an 8-inch Multimedia Plus or Multimedia Navigation program, Harmon Kardon QuantumLogic Surround Sound audio system, and Starlink Safety and Security.

2019 BMW X7 Review

The brand new BMW X7 is the latest addition to the X-Series SUV line up. It offers several features that differentiate it from the rest of the members of the X-Series SUVs. Ultimately, it is very
much just a traditional large luxury SUV. This SUV has three rows and is the largest one BMW has ever built. It has two trim levels, the xDrive 40i, and the xDrive 50i. The xDrive 40i features a
turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six cylinder 335-horsepower engine, while the xDrive 50i has a 4.4-liter turbocharged V8 456 horsepower engine. The X7 is a large and in-charge automobile that gives you the type of driving experience for which the X-Series SUVs have been lauded about over the years.

21-inch wheels, air suspension, adaptive LED headlights, selectable driver modes, a 5,400-pound trailer hitch limit, 40/20/40-split folding second-row seats and 50/50-split folding third-row seats come standard in the X7. The premium X7 trim – the xDrive 50i – includes everything you can find in the standard xDrive 40i trim but also adds leather upholstery, multi-contour front seats, a surround-view camera, and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon surround sound system. Most of the best options and features that come with this automobile are bundled in a variety of packages. The Premium package has soft-close doors, remote ignition, power rear window shades, and more. There is a Luxury Seating package and a Cold Weather package as well. The main point is that depending on what sort of extra options you genuinely want with your SUV, that will determine what package you decide to purchase and the price differences are something to keep in mind when you are choosing a trim choice.

The 2019 BMW X7 offers an exceptionally smooth driving experience; it provides three full rows, it is bigger and roomier than the X5, it has a fantastic interior and a mighty engine. This SUV employs a variety of high-tech options that give it an edge in its class. You can access this vehicle be it unlocking the automobile, starting the car, or the like via your smartphone. This car also has Apple CarPlay and the latest iteration of BMW iDrive with more logical menu options and quicker response time. It is a big roomy vehicle, but many other luxury SUVs in the X7’s class have more space, which is a bit of a negative about this latest BMW offering. This fact may not be enough of a concern to make you look
past the X7, but it is worth noting.

Among some of the other negatives surrounding the 2019 X7 is noticeable noise from the road that can be heard within the cabin. Unlike other SUVs in its class, you can hear the sounds of the road quite clearly, and it is a bit of a turnoff. The X7 is also pretty pricey, the luxury SUV class is not known for being bargains, but still with the standard xDrive 40i starting at $73,900 and the premium xDrive 50i package starting at $92,600; the 2019 X7 is quite expensive. The third-row seating is quite small and is much more comfortable for children than for adults. These are the only real negatives about this vehicle, but these can also be deal-breakers, especially the price point. Beyond that, the X7 is a welcome addition to the BMW SUV line and offers power, refinement, and roominess the X-Series has sorely needed.

2019 Audi e-Tron Review

New for the year 2019, the Audi e-Tron offers up an intriguing and unique addition to the fantastic Audi line up. This fully electric vehicle has a lot of incredible potential and robust performance for
those looking to enjoy an Audi vehicle while reducing their carbon footprint and reliance on the pump.

Serious range, a powerful engine, an incredibly cozy and sophisticated interior, and a very sleek frame are some of the highlights of the 2019 Audi E-Tron.

PUMPED-UP PERFORMANCE

Speaking of performance, while this is a high-performance EV it does have some minor negatives. Most notably, it does not offer the same level of quick acceleration as other electric vehicles; its ability to go from 0-60 miles per hour in 5.5 seconds is almost a second slower than most other competing electric cars.

The feedback between the driver and the vehicle when it comes to steering is merely average, but that is more a function of how all modern automobiles – not just electric ones – are nowadays.

Beyond that, this SUV has exceptional off-road capability, smooth handling, and offers a smooth and enjoyable driving experience, not to mention a 408-horsepower engine.

How much is the charging capacity of 2019 Audi E-Tron?

The 350-kilowatt DC fast-charge capability allows the e-Tron to be 80 percent charged in half an hour. Like other mature electric vehicle competitors like the Jaguar I-Pace and Telsa Model X,

The 2019 E-Tron is capable of real-world driving scenarios without the need for an internal combustion engine.

Disappointing Infotainment System

The latest MMI infotainment system in this automobile is a regression from previous versions. It has been placed outside the eye line of the driver, and there are no shortcuts available to get through the interface, beyond those disappointments it is the standard technology and information available at the driver’s fingertips that Audi’s MMI system has been known for over the years.

There are some cons such as less-than-stellar acceleration compared to the competition, and an MMI infotainment system that is not within the driver’s sight line and has a lack of shortcuts and other advanced features that one may think would be present on a new iteration of this system.

Remarkable and Comfortable Interiors

The 2019 Audi e-tron has slightly more storage space and room within it compared to the cabin of other mid-sized SUVs, due to a lack of gasoline engine components that would otherwise take up interior space which is a significant plus. The elegance and comfort of the interior are what you come to expect from Audi vehicles and continues to be on full display in the e-Tron.

The interior accentuates everything else about this EV and makes it a serious contender for the best automobile in both the mid-sized SUV class and the luxury EV class.

The size and placement of the climate control vents make the interior comfortable enough that you rarely have to make many adjustments once a temperature range becomes established.

Massage functions in the seats enhance the already fantastic driving experience.

The wind and traffic sounds that can enter the cabin of other electric automobiles with the absence of engine noise is not present with the 2019 e-Tron.

Available Trims

The European trims of this vehicle have around a 248-mile range, and the U.S. Version is slightly lower than that; however, this vehicle has quite the range and charges very quickly.

The 2019 Audi E-Tron is available in two different trims: Premium Plus and Prestige.

Share love for new and advanced technology Premium Plus trim is your pick as it is one of the advanced electric vehicles in the category. It has some amazing luxury and as well as some safety features which makes it different from the crowd.
