General Motors to build Honda and Acura Electric Crossovers

Honda has onboard General Motors to use the Ultium battery in their upcoming electric vehicles. GM will be manufacturing crossover for Honda and Acura at their two production plants. These crossovers will be released in 2023 and 2024.

General Motors will build the Honda and Acura Electric vehicles in Mexico and Tennessee. For Honda, GM will build crossovers at Ramos Arizpe Mexico. The factory is going to be fully transformed for the production of electric vehicles. However, Acura electric crossover production will take place in Spring Hill, Tennessee in 2024 along with Cadillac Lyriq. 2022 Cadillac SUV will go on sale in 2022.

Both automakers have teamed up to build electric vehicles that go on sale in 2024. Honda will perform the designing of EVs and it has the addition of GM’s Ultium battery platform to enhance the driving experience. General Motors has recently made it official by changing its logo and making 30 EVs by 2025 and using autonomous driving technology.
