Tesla recalls Model Y because of an issue in trailer brake lights.

After the shocking recall of the Polestar 2 due to a software glitch, another Popular auto manufacturer is ready with yet another similar procedure for their incredible model. Tesla has issued a recall for some of their Model Y cars because of a software glitch that occurs only in the brake lights. However, confirmation was done by the company itself, along with NHTSA. These cars may have a software glitch that prevents the lights from working appropriately or illuminating.

According to reports by NHTSA, “Tesla, Inc. (Tesla) is recalling some 2020 Model Y vehicles equipped with a global rear lamp and tow package configuration because a software error prevents the illumination of trailer brake lights. Due to this reason, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, “Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment.”

However, not all models are a part of it, and the glitch is limited to the cars with the optional trailer brake lights. According to NHTSA and Tesla, this error might affect 2,567 Model Y produced this year. Although there is good news along with it that the solution to it is an over-the-air software update. So, there is no need to go to the service center, wait for weeks or days but just an update, which proves that the company is very well connected. Let’s hope that the glitch will get fixed soon, and the owners will again ride their cars with ease and safety.
